As of May 2022, our Alpendorf Dachstein West will proudly display the Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality. We will show you what makes ALPS RESORT in Salzburger Land a certified hiking establishment and precisely what advantages await you there for your upcoming hiking holiday.

Hiking holidays at your holiday home in Salzburger Land

For a successful hiking holiday in Austria, you need the right place to stay. An apartment, a holiday home or a room, where you can truly unwind after an exciting day in the mountains. Where you feel completely at ease and can fully prepare for the next hike on your schedule. The Austrian Hiking Seal of Quality distinguishes lodging establishments, villages, regions and hiking paths in Austria that take particularly good care of hikers. As is the case with our Alpendorf Dachstein West in Salzburger Tennengau.

Magical location and ideal starting point

From Alpendorf Dachstein West, your mountain experience is never far away. From right there at your holiday home, you will be able to set out on some of the most beautiful and rewarding tours in Lammertal: around the Gosaukamm, or in search of a delicious Brettljause. For example, the exceptional Stuhlalm, the idyllically situated Mahdalm, the Theodor Körner Hütte, the Rottenhofhütte or the Loseggalm, where they will be happy to treat you to their really delicious cheese platters. From our ALPS RESORT in Salzburger Tennengau, you are just a few minutes' walk from the valley lift station of the Donnerkogelbahn. With the included guest card, one ride up and down the mountain per person is included during your holidays.

Tour Planning and Information

Every good mountain tour requires good planning. That's why Manuela and her team have collected touring and hiking tips on their homepage and in the Hiking Info Corner at the reception. There, you can browse the hiking books and info brochures in search of inspiration. Maps can be purchased from the Hiking Shop, as can rucksacks and hiking poles (also available to rent).

Our sporty colleagues will be happy to share their personal insider tips, including the best huts for tasty bacon snacks and where your four-legged friend will be greeted with open arms. Because dogs are welcome guests at Alpendorf Dachstein West (by arrangement, in specific houses).

Guided Hikes in Annaberg

With the hiking guides in Annaberg-Lungötz, you will hike in the footsteps of Empress Sisi to the Zwieselalmhütte or discover the Schwarze Lacke. You will experience sunrise on the Loseggalm including a hill-country breakfast, or get to know your holiday community better during a walk through town. The guided tours are free with the guest card, though registration is required.

Guests of Alpendorf Dachstein West are always happy to join Betty, the hiking guide, for her World Heritage Hikes. The weekly hiking program is available at the reception. By the way: Your holiday destination, Annaberg-Lungötz, has also received recognition. Along with Russbach and the Dachstein West hiking region, it is one of the quality-certified Austrian Hiking Villages.

Relaxation before and after your hike

An ideal way to mellow out after a tour of the mountains and loosen up those tired legs: the wellness area in the main building with indoor pool and two Finnish saunas. Likewise, the Alpine-style holiday homes (90 – 105 m², max. 10 people) are an excellent place to chill. On the couch, in front of the gas-fired fireplace, on the terrace with view of the mountains … As you would expect from a hut holiday in Austria, though with a few added creature comforts. The holiday homes in Alpendorf Dachstein West are fully equipped with everything you might need, including toaster, coffeemaker, cable TV and W-Fi.

Sound like the kind of hiking holiday you have been wishing for? In that case, our colleagues at Alpendorf Dachstein West look forward to receiving your enquiry!
