Yes, the ski resorts in Schladming-Dachstein are very child-friendly. There are dedicated practice areas such as Wollis Kids Park on Hauser Kaibling and Hopsis Winterkinderland on Planai with mini lifts and varied runs on gentle slopes. Numerous ski schools offer child-friendly lessons, and families benefit from special ski pass offers. The Schladming Dachstein region offers several outdoor pools and swimming lakes for refreshment. Many of them can be used free of charge with the Schladming Dachstein Summer Card, such as the Haus adventure pool, the Aich leisure lake complex, the Pichl leisure park and the Schladming adventure pool.
The Schladming Bike Park offers the right terrain for all levels: the Planai 10-seater gondola takes you to the start, and 42 km of trails lead over flowing single trails, crisp downhill routes and practice courses for beginners. Bikes and protective gear are available from Bründl Sports at the valley station, and the Pekoll Bike School ensures safety. In the Schladming-Dachstein region, e-bikers, road cyclists, leisure cyclists and downhill bikers will find plenty of challenges.
The abundance of water in Schladming in Styria is impressive: with 300 mountain lakes, 100 waterfalls and countless springs, the "Valley of 1,000 Springs" is a real showstopper.
