Are you spending your summer vacation in Austria at an ALPS RESORT in the Schladming Dachstein region? An excellent decision - especially between the end of May and the beginning of November! During this period, the Schladming Dachstein Sommercard guest card is included at ALPS RESORTS in Ennstal.
What does the Schladming Dachstein Summer Card cost?
Our ALPS RESORTS in Schladming and the surrounding area are partner businesses of this guest card. When staying at the Alpenchalets Reiteralm, at the Bergresort Hauser Kaibling, in the Villa Liesl and in the Alpenrock Schladming you can save money.
The Schladming Dachstein Sommercard is already included in the travel price. That means: no additional costs, no surcharge, perfect for your summer vacation in Schladming.
How long is the guest card valid in Schladming?
The Schladming Dachstein Sommercard is valid for the entire duration of your stay:
- Use on the day of arrival from 13:00
- Use all day on the day of departure
- Included for overnight stays between May 14 and November 1, 2026

#1 The Dachstein Glacier: up the mountain with the guest card
An absolute highlight on your summer vacation in Austria: With the Schladming Dachstein Sommercard, you can visit the Dachstein Glacier once within 7 days for free (from a stay of 2 nights).
With the Dachstein panorama gondola, you can reach over 1,000 meters in altitude in just 6 minutes and enjoy one of the most spectacular Alpine experiences in Styria. Whether it's the Dachstein Skywalk, the famous suspension bridge or the high alpine panorama at over 2,700 meters - the Dachstein is one of the most impressive excursion destinations in Schladming-Dachstein.
Tip for guests: The Dachstein is particularly popular - early booking is highly recommended as places are limited.
#2 Outdoor pools & swimming lakes: cool off on your summer vacation in austria
The combination of mountains and water is unbeatable, as Kaia told us in the blog post "Summer highlights from our employees". We agree, which is why the region's outdoor pools and swimming lakes included in the TOP 5 list. A well-deserved cool down after a strenuous hike or a relaxing day by the water: Schladming and the surrounding area is home to more than 10 swimming pools and bathing lakes. Admission is free with the Sommercard.
If you need a little more action, refresh yourself with a free kayak taster course* or basic river hiking course* with the Schladming Guest Card. (*Registration required). The canyoning beginners' tour, where you are abseiled over a 25 m high waterfall, is available at a reduced price.
Not had enough of our cool tips? The Schladming Dachstein region has around 300 mountain lakes, from deep black to turquoise blue. The breathtaking mountain lakes in the Schladming-Dachstein region are among the most beautiful photo spots in the Austrian Alps.
#3 Schladming Dachstein Summer Card for families: Hopsiland
Hopsiland on the Planai is a popular excursion destination for family vacations in Schladming-Dachstein. The ascent with the Planai cable car is free with the Schladming Dachstein Sommercard and ideal for an active summer vacation in Austria.
The bike area in the middle of Hopsiland is really cool, where even the little ones can get a taste of mountain biking on easy trails. Just right for you? Then you shouldn't miss the bike offer with the junior trails on the Reiteralm! Right next to the Reiteralmhütte, there are two trails of varying difficulty levels available for kids, the conveyor belt takes them up the mountain and to the start, ideal for a family-friendly summer vacation in the Alps.
Family highlights in Hopsiland:

- Swings, slides, climbing elements and water world
- Ball tracks and gold panning in Rabbit Creek
- Children's program with arts and crafts or painting during the summer holidays
#4 Toll road: Stoderzinken - panoramic drive by car
You can enjoy free travel on the 12 km long, highest Alpine road in Austria: the Stoderzinken toll road is free of charge in the early and late season with the Schladming Dachstein Sommercard. The summit of the 2,048 m high mountain is easily manageable even for families. A somewhat more challenging trail leads past the Friedenskircherl, which was once visited by the Styrian folk poet Peter Rosegger.
The Stoderzinken is a popular summit for sunrise tours and, with the via ferrata garden, zipline and flying coaster at the Gröbming Adventure Park (bonus partner), is also a worthwhile excursion destination for adventurers.
#5 Action: Paragliding taster course
And while we're on the subject of adventure: At the free paragliding taster course, you will learn from a professional how to launch a paraglider on the practice slope and take off. Once you have tasted blood, book a tandem flight from the Planai or Hochwurzen - with the Guest Card Schladming at a reduced price! Registration required.

Great selection of top attractions with the guest card
To be honest, it wasn't easy for us to choose because we also love the forest bathing, the (guided tour through the) Wörschach Gorge, the bus shuttle to the Ursprungalm, the family adventure hike and the taster climbing for children. And a round of mini golf, the family scavenger hunt through Schladming, a visit to the highest natural pharmacy, the summit pool at approx. 1,900 m Schladming on the Riesneralm .... As you can see, a vacation in Schladming has so much to offer - and with the Schladming Dachstein Sommercard, the choice of excursion destinations and activities is simply huge!
