FAQs: Frequently asked questions about excursions in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena when it rains
A visit to the Zugspitze is worth it to a certain extent even in the rain: The journey on the Tiroler Zugspitzbahn from Ehrwald and a visit to the Zugspitz Museum at the mountain station, or the journey on the Seilbahn Zugspitze from Grainau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen and a guided cable car tour (summer season) are definitely an experience, even in bad weather.
However, the famous panoramic views are not available in thick cloud or fog. Anyone wishing to go up primarily for the panoramic views should therefore wait for a day with better visibility or check webcams and weather forecasts in advance.
