One of the most popular excursion destinations in Salzburger Land is the Grossglockner High-Alpine Road. This 48 km long scenic road takes you across the Alps at the foot of the imposing Grossglockner, at over 2500 meters above sea level. The biggest nature sanctuary in the Alps is characterized by untouched nature whilst providing a home to more than 15,000 animal species. Here, you will also encounter the famous Krimml Waterfalls.
